The May Residence is a new home for a young family, located on the outskirts of Lisbon. The objective was to design a house where it was possible to combine different textures, which would give character to the project. The idea was to design several volumes that intersect each other and combine them with different materials/textures in the finishes. The stone, being a heavy material, very textured, became the choice for the lining of the basement walls. As for the other wooden floors, painted concrete, exposed concrete, textured and smooth plaster were the architectural choices.
